Crochet: It’s Not Just for Granny Anymore

I started crocheting in the late 60’s and learned how to do a large variety of other crafts as I was growing up. Something it always seemed that none of my friends ever did. In fact, I can’t remember any of my friends having a hobby that they enjoyed doing other than talking on the phone. At one point, one of my friends was so kind as to point out to me that “only old grannies do that stuff.”

Well, some 40 years later, I’m still crocheting and I’m proud to announce to all my friends that made fun of me, not only is crocheting not just for “old grannies” but men are getting in on the action too. And we’re talking about some manly men: U.S. Presidents, football players, soccer players, and famous scientists.

So, I thought I would publish a list of famous people that crochet to give anyone out there an arsenal of comebacks should any one choose to poke fun at you too.
